Nowadays, it is a modernised neighbourhood that, nevertheless, has managed to conserve its most traditional culture. In the summer, during the Gràcia Festivities, one of the city's most beautiful events is held, consisting in a competition in which the residents decorate their streets and compete to be declared the winner. This creates great expectation among the inhabitants and well as excitement for visitors.
