Many people in this quarter have lived there all their lives, taking advantage of the restful lifestyle, away from Barcelona's more central tourist areas, whilst still in the city.
Apart from Guinardó Park, considered Barcelona's green "lung", this district has many other parks that are easy to access and provide an ideal space for walks with children or pets without having to worry about the dangers of traffic. It is also home to Hospital Sant Pau.
Despite being surrounded by mountains, moving about is easy as there are many metro lines and bus routes that can take one anywhere in the city in a few minutes.
